Cost estimates

Procedure costs are drawn from published and reference price sources for each procedure and country, and stored per corridor (a procedure in a destination). Every figure is shown with the year it represents, the “as of” date, and the number of sources behind it. Estimates are our transparent calculation, not a clinic quote, and they exclude consultation fees, tests, complications, travel, and follow-up care unless stated. Always obtain a written quote from a clinic before deciding.

How we estimate all-in costs

The cost estimator and the per-procedure cost calculators combine three inputs: sourced procedure price cells (averages per procedure and destination, each dated and carrying a source count), reference travel tables (typical flights, transfers, and accommodation tiers per destination), and your own inputs (origin country, stay length, accommodation tier). The confidence shown with each estimate is calculated deterministically from data coverage; it is never generated by AI. Where patients later share real clinic quotes with us, we intend to use them to calibrate future estimates over time. Every result is an informational planning range, not a quote, and the hospital you choose confirms the final price.

Savings vs your home country

Savings compare the destination’s sourced average against the sourced average for your home market (we cover the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland). Both sides use the same sourcing standard, so the comparison is like for like.

Hospital matching

Matches are scored by our algorithm across procedure fit, budget, location, language, timeline, quality signals, and review sentiment. Every match shows why it was chosen, and the scores are calculated the same way for every hospital. Hospitals cannot pay to rank higher or to appear. See how we match.

Freshness and corrections

Sourced data is reviewed on a schedule and re-checked when the underlying figures change. If you believe a figure is out of date or incorrect, please tell us and we will review it. Our process for handling corrections is described in our editorial policy.
