Our Commitment

CureMeridian is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all users, regardless of ability or technology.

We believe that the internet should be accessible to everyone, and we are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our platform.

Standards We Follow

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for all people.

CureMeridian is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the standard; the known gaps are listed under Known Limitations below.

We also align with the following standards and regulations:

  • EN 301 549, European standard for ICT accessibility requirements
  • EU Web Accessibility Directive (Directive 2016/2102/EU)
  • European Accessibility Act (EAA), Directive 2019/882/EU
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Title III requirements for digital services

Technical Measures We Take

We implement the following technical measures to support accessibility:

  • Semantic HTML5, Proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and descriptive elements throughout the application
  • Optimized images, All images use descriptive alt text; decorative images have empty alt attributes
  • Sufficient color contrast, Text meets WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Keyboard navigation, All interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard alone
  • Focus management, Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • Screen reader compatibility, ARIA labels, roles, and live regions are used where appropriate
  • No reliance on color alone, Information is never conveyed by color alone
  • Resizable text, Content remains readable and functional at up to 200% zoom
  • Reduced motion support, Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query
  • Skip navigation links, Users can skip directly to main content

Assistive Technologies We Support

We build and check our platform to work with common assistive technologies, including:

  • NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) with Firefox on Windows
  • VoiceOver with Safari on macOS and iOS
  • TalkBack with Chrome on Android
  • Keyboard-only navigation (no mouse)

Known Limitations

We are aware that some parts of our platform may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. Known limitations include:

  • Some dynamically loaded content (live search results and filters) may not announce updates correctly to all screen readers, we are actively working to improve this
  • Complex data tables in the admin dashboard may have limited screen reader support on older assistive technology
  • Some third-party embedded content (maps, social media widgets) may not be fully accessible, we are evaluating alternatives

We are working to address these issues as part of our ongoing accessibility improvement. We check accessibility using a combination of automated tooling and manual self-review as we build. We have not yet completed a formal independent (third-party) accessibility audit.

Enforcement Procedure

If you are not satisfied with our response, or if you believe we have not addressed your accessibility concern adequately, you may have recourse to the following:

  • EU residents: Contact your national enforcement body responsible for the EU Web Accessibility Directive. A list of national authorities is available at the European Commission website.
  • US residents: You may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice under Title III of the ADA by visiting www.ada.gov.

Technical Specifications

CureMeridian is built with the following technologies that contribute to accessibility:

  • HTML5, Semantic markup with proper document structure
  • CSS, CSS logical properties for RTL language support; no presentation that conflicts with user style sheets
  • JavaScript/TypeScript, Progressive enhancement; core content and primary navigation render without JavaScript, while some interactive features (such as live search, chat, and filters) require JavaScript to work
  • Next.js, Server-side rendering ensures content is available before JavaScript loads
  • Radix UI primitives, Accessible, keyboard-navigable interactive components
